Good! [ There's some shuffling sounds as Souji starts to sort through his notes. ] Big Boss's classes have most been about military vocabulary and phrases. Did you want to stay focused on that, or learn some more general things?

Got it. [ There's more papers shuffling, and then: ] First we'll start with words for food and drink. I'll list a few of them off to start and we'll see how many you know, or can guess.

[ And Souji does exactly that, switching to English and listing off the simpler words: food, bread, water, apple, cake, orange, cherry, tomato, and so on. He stops after a dozen or so words and waits for Shinji's response. ]
